Fossil Free Future Day of Action

On October 29, 2021, Future Coalition coordinated the National Day of Action for a Fossil Free Future, consisting of around 40 direct actions across the United States. Roughly 1,500 activists attended the actions, with hundreds more participating via emails and calls to financial institution executives. Organizers primarily targeted local branches and headquarters of Chase – the world’s largest funder of fossil fuels – but demonstrations also took place at Federal Reserve, Wells Fargo, Citibank, and Liberty Mutual locations, as well as outside the home of a BlackRock board member.
