We’re calling the White House line to urge President Biden to invest in women’s futures by using executive action to cancel student loan debt before the federal student loan payment pause ends on May 1, 2022.

The student loan debt crisis is at an all time high, with 45 million people carrying an estimated $1.7 trillion in federal student loan debt. Women carry roughly two-thirds of all student loan debt. Black women are disproportionately impacted by this issue; they carry the most student loan debt of any racial or ethnic group. It’s time we cancel the debt that holds women back.
