A Grassroots Fund for Community Organizing & Civic Engagement

Building on the success of our direct support programs in the 2018 election cycle and in the youth climate space, the March On Community Fund (MOCO Fund) is a small grants resource stream for community-based organizers to create and implement projects around civic participation in their communities.

Grassroots organizers are encouraged to apply for funding for community-based civic engagement programs. We especially encourage applications and projects in the specific areas of voter registration, mobilization, vote by mail, voter protection and voter turnout. Organizers, local and grassroots organizations from across the US are eligible to apply.

The MOCO Fund allows for small, rapid grants to be deployed and is a creative incubator space for community based folx to lead and execute initiatives, create solutions to problems, and ensure the knowledge stays well after the election cycle is over.

This fund enables activists and organizers to:

  • Access funds rapidly to do crucial local work
  • Increase their capacity to implement
  • Get creative and try new approaches
  • Get ready for the 2020 election
