We are in the midst of an unprecedented number of anti-LGBTQ+ measures – direct, discriminatory attacks – sweeping through state legislatures across the country. This year, more than 300 anti-LGBTQ bills are pending across state legislatures.
There are currently no federal laws that explicitly protect LGBTQ+ people from discrimination. This can, and must, change – the U.S. Senate must act now to protect all Americans’ inalienable right to EXIST. The Equality Act, the only piece of federal legislation to explicitly affirm LGBTQ+ civil rights, can rectify and protect LGBTQ+ individuals from these attacks at the state level.
Sign the petition to the U.S. Senate: Guarantee freedoms to all RIGHT NOW – pass the Equality Act.

Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act – also known as the Don’t Say Gay bill, which aims to ban discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in the classroom – has now passed both chambers of the Florida legislature. Now, the bill only needs Governor Ron DeSantis’s signature to become law, placing extreme restrictions on LGBTQ+ topics in education.
We cannot allow far-right Republicans to decide what our children can and cannot learn at public schools – or allow blatant homophobia and transphobia to run rampant in Florida.
So please take two minutes to email Governor DeSantis and command him to veto the Parental Rights in Education Act, for the good of our students and our country.

Right now, voting rights groups are suing to overturn Texas’ heinously gerrymandered new maps. These districts were drawn by the state’s Republican-led legislature — and if enacted, they would silence Latinx, Black, and AAPI communities and deny them the resources they need to thrive.
These maps may or may not hold up in court, but the truth is: we never should have gotten here in the first place. We know that when power-hungry politicians can hand-pick their voters, they prioritize protecting their own jobs — not communities’ needs.
If you agree that the Senate must do whatever it takes to end gerrymandering — including abolishing the anti-democracy filibuster — add your name today.

June 24, 2021
March On for Voting Rights is a mass mobilization that will take place on the 58th anniversary of Dr. King?s peaceful and historic March On Washington?this time, to demand that King?s ?I Have a Dream? vision be deferred no longer. Since January, 48 states have introduced 389 bills that would restrict voting access, largely in response to record turnout in the 2020 election. The most brazen of these bills?some already passed into law?would suppress high-turnout voting methods by banning ballot drop boxes and mail-in voting, slashing early voting days and hours, restricting who can get a mail-in ballot, making illegal the distribution of food or water to those in long lines, and criminally charging officials who promote the use of mail-in ballots even when voters qualify. Some states are also putting election boards under partisan control, making it easy for legislatures to replace elected officials with members of their own party and granting them unprecedented powers that open the door to corruption in election administration.
