WASHINGTON, D.C.— Yesterday, in the most consequential election of our lives, Americans set a historic record for voter turnout. Election officials are still counting votes and we must be patient until we have a winner, but we are confident that Vice President Biden will prevail. If there is any attempt to subvert the fair results, we, along with millions of those who are committed to preserving democracy, are prepared to take immediate action to stop those attempts.
After the winner is announced, the coalition we have built together — a vocal majority including young people and people of color who showed up in unprecedented numbers — will continue the work of fighting for social justice, climate action, healthcare and all of the policies that will make America a fairer, safer, more just place for everyone. But first, count every vote.
